Success Story
Last month we reported on the September 21st launch event for the Women’s Community website. Thanks to Richard McNey, Publisher of the Annapolis and Chesapeake Business Ledgers, the following article was developed and published.
We are extremely pleased to share the article with you.
It began with the words “Denise Trifiletti’s voice sounded out of the speakers at Brent Law’s Annapolis home recording studio, Phoenix Studios. Trifiletti, Law and Paula Constantino listened to the welcome message Trifiletti recorded moments before…. At the end of the recording, Trifiletti wiped the tears away from her face. Her vision for a Web site to help women in business was one step closer to reality.”
The entire article, by Richard McNey of the Chesapeake Business Ledger, is printed below.
Denise Trifiletti’s voice sounded out of the speakers at Brent Law’s Annapolis home recording studio, Phoenix Studios. Trifiletti, Law and Paula Constantino listened to the welcome message Trifiletti recorded moments before. The message will attract potential Specialty Experts for WomensCommunity.com; an online virtual community founded by Trifiletti that will help women grow their businesses 24/7. The message detailed the vision for a revolutionary one-stop, virtual community that has been years in the making.
As Trifiletti sat behind the microphone listening to her voice, Constantino and Law commented that the recording was much better than the previous. This time, the tone of Trifiletti’s voice showed her passion. At the end of the recording, Trifiletti wiped the tears away from her face. Her vision to help women in business was one step closer to reality.
The Idea
Trifiletti has 25 years of corporate sales and training experience and was the national sales training manager for Control Data Corporation, one of the pioneering supercomputer firms. She and her husband Don Treinen, now operate Dynamic Destiny Partnerships, a business and partnership-consulting firm.
“I was coaching women in business for many years and hearing them struggling with the challenges of focusing on their passions and strengths, balancing their lives, securing more sales and achieving greater business results. “Those challenges were prevalent with most women in business. I realized that there was an opportunity for them to leverage ‘themselves’, their time, and others. I knew through partnerships, and the Internet I could create a model to help women grow and leverage their time. So I founded Women’s Community as a premier one-stop resource for women in business to GROW – 24/7.”
Constantino is an attorney who was a medical malpractice attorney in the New York metropolitan area and later an in-house counsel for a high-tech start-up here in Maryland.
She has also been a wellness consultant for Nikken Corporation.
“My passion has always been helping people,” Constantino said.
Constantino met Trifiletti attending one of her forums and they quickly realized their strengths were complimentary, and their vision the same. They combined their experience, talents and their passion to create this unique virtual community.
“The number one challenge for women in business is juggling all the balls and balancing their personal and professional life,” Trifiletti said. “Women perceive they have too much to do in too little time. ”The community was created because the Internet is a timesaving and revenue-generating tool for women.
“More than half (58 percent) of the women owners of million-dollar-plus firms indicated that the Internet and e-commerce play a moderately or extremely important role in their businesses’ growth strategy compared to 35 percent of men owners of $1 million-plus firms,” said Don Herring, who leads the AT&T Select Markets division. “This skill in using and understanding the power of the Internet may provide women business owners with a competitive advantage as we continue to become an increasingly e-commerce economy.”
The concept behind WomensCommunity.com is to take advantage of the
’Power of Partnerships’, and the Internet, to help women in business leverage ‘themselves’, their time, and others – and to GROW exponentially as a result!
How the Web site will Work
WomensCommunity.com appeals to two markets: women who are experts in their area of business and women who want access to these experts.
“It is basically women helping women and supporting each other,” Constantino said.
Experts are being recruited in six areas of business: sales and marketing, human resources, information technology, business planning and operations, finance and legal, and wellness. Nearly 30 experts, referred to as specialists on the site, have already been recruited from all over the U.S.
Specialists are required to have a Web site and link their site to the Women’s Community site. They receive commissions for promoting others and the community – one more revenue stream for them. Founding specialists receive free training on how to write articles, conduct teleseminars, and improve their Web site results. “We want to ensure that they have those basics in place to be successful, because this training provides what our specialists need to know in order to be successful,” Trifiletti said. Specialists write articles, host teleseminars and provide ask-the-expert sessions. Ask-the-expert sessions allow members to call in for an increment of time and pose a particular business challenge to an expert and get a response immediately.
What makes Women’s Community unique? It is an online community which helps Members progress and grow with the community. Members are start up businesses, those wishing to start a business, those in a career or women in transition, or simply those looking to continuously learn. They can progress to become ‘specialty experts’.
The website, created by women for women, has the goal of helping women become business experts with guidance from successful businesswomen.
It offers advanced education 24/7 by women experts.
And, it uniquely leverages online partnerships – a way to gain residual revenues.
Three levels of membership are available with varying services: trial ($19/month),
full ($49/month) and elite ($99/month). Members can save on membership fees by paying in advance. Members have access to a newsletter, teleseminars; ask-an-expert sessions, articles, business assessments, business development tools and other informational products. Members are also listed and receive access to the partner’s directory.
“They have an instant one-stop pool of experts to solve their business challenges 24/7,” Trifiletti said.
Exponential Benefits
Women can grow exponentially and can gain residual revenues by cross-promoting their business partners on the Internet. “WomensCommunity.com takes networking to a higher level, and maximizes the Internet like no other vehicle out there. It uses the proven successful online affiliate model. Women’s Community is also encouraging Specialists to develop their area of expertise into informational products that will provide women with multiple streams of income while leveraging their time,” said Constantino.
“In addition,” Trifiletti said, “We call it ‘productizing’ yourself and the Internet offers a great opportunity for it. And, women can grow by targeting the fastest growing market niche – women in business. We encourage women to focus on this target because it is lucrative, and we know most women enjoy helping other women!
WomensCommunity.com has, even before launch, relationships with Avis and Bank of America, as well as dozens of affiliate partners. And, they are building more relationships and corporate sponsors.
