  Partnership Tips

The following tips come from an article we recently published:

• To be most effective in your business, you need to keep all aspects of your personal life in harmony. We call this "Partnership with Self".
• Achieving and sustaining a balance between your personal and professional life promotes peak performance in both.
• List all of your roles (the hats you wear), then establish short and long-germ goals for each role.
• Develop a weekly plan which includes time for all your roles and goals.
• There is a hugh difference between doing things right (effectiveness) and just "doing the right things" (efficiency) Constantly strive to become more effective.
• Partnership with Self can be measured in peace of mind, lower stress, greater balance, greater effectivenss, and results that matter.
• Be conscious in "each moment" of what you are doing, why you are doing it, and how it will either advance or impede you as you go through your day.
• Critically think about, and examine, each thing you have planned for your day. Decicde if what you plan is in harmony with your personal and professional  mission. If they are, keep on keeping on! If not, simply don't do them!
• Think about what you are doing in terms of both personal and professional return on investment. It is a really good way to measure value!
• Be aware of yourself and how you feel about each thing you do. Do you feel energized? Do you feel drudgery? Be aware of the message these feelings are sending to you.
• In each day there are some things we have to do that we really do not want to do. Do them anyway, and try to do them with good humor if not enthusiasm. But remember, make sure they are things YOU MUST DO - if not, delegate to someone else!
• By all means - have fun with what you are doing. Feel the passion! Feel the energy! FEEL in control and in balance, and you will be!
