  Partnership Tips

In November's newsletter we explored a) how to identify Power Partners, and b) what to ASK yourself before you build a partnership.  Now let's explore how you build a "Power Partnership"; how to convert your networking contacts into mutually beneficial 'all-win' partnerships. Here are some tips:

  • Call who you think may be a Power Partner and qualify them. They must have a problem or need, be the decision maker, and have some resources (time and money) they are willing to spend on solving their problem.
  • Once qualified, you should meet one-on-one with them with your agenda being the GROW Partnership Model. Complete our Partnership Survey, http://wwwld2partners.com/d2p/is-this-you.shtml and receive our free chapter from our book, which describes the GROW Model. You can also email me at denise@d2partners.com to get the GROW worksheet, a practical tool you can use in your one-on-one meetings.
  • When using the GROW Model as your agenda, it is critical that you ASK in depth questions regarding each area of the model. Why is that?
  • By asking in depth questions, you gain an in depth understanding of your potential partner.
  • This understanding enables you to explore the many ways you can create a Power Partnership, i.e., perhaps you barter or co-market your services, or pay each other for referrals.
  • Power Partnerships come in a variety of flavors - one size does not fit all!
  • To build a "Power Partnership" means you take the possibilities to the highest power, all the parties involved or affected GAIN, reap benefits, and win monetarily and otherwise.
