Denise’s
Story
After becoming a top leader in sales and subsequent National Training
manager for Control Data Corporation (CDC), I realized my success
was the result of my attitude, skills, and knowledge. I had a positive,
proactive attitude, consultative skills, and continuously increased
my knowledge of my products and services, the industry, and the
competition. As a result I became a leader in sales for numerous
industries. I studied with leading motivation and sales experts
to continuously improve my skills as a provider of solutions. I
realized my success and competitive edge was also a result of my
becoming a ‘solution-provider’.
As a ‘solution provider’ I sought out partners who
could help me to solve my client problems. I invested time and money
building my network, and began to leverage this asset. “Power
Partnerships™” were my differentiator, and the key to
closing more business. I also recognized an unfulfilled need in
the marketplace: women in business who were spending so much time
and energy networking but still frustrated by not getting the desired
results for their business.
With a passion to help women succeed I began to offer assistance
regarding “ASK™” and the potential “Power
of Partnerships™”. I help women identify their ideal
“Power Partners™”; ones with whom they can build
a maximum win and results. And, although I believe you should try
to establish an “all-win” partnership with every person
you meet, I also believe that you should identify your ideal targets
and “Power Partners”. By doing so, you can GROW™
exponentially and achieve the RESULTS™ you want.
And… that is my mission in life: to help people and organizations
to GROW exponentially and to achieve the RESULTS they want through
the “Power of Partnerships”!

Don’s
Story
After finishing a tour of duty in the U.S. Navy, serving both in
the surface Navy and in submarines, I left the family farm in Minnesota
and ventured into the corporate world, spending many years at AT&T.
It was during this period I learned there is a better way for corporate
and labor leadership to deal with one another. I also learned
this ‘better way’ applied in every potential partnership
opportunity I encountered!
Beginning quite early in my career, I began the process of encouraging
my business and labor colleagues to achieve mutual success through
conversation, not confrontation. From my experiences growing up
on the family farm, I knew that people working together for common
cause always trumped the incessant drive for competitive advantage
so prevalent in the business world.
Over 20 years ago I was
promoted into a leadership position within the Communications Workers
of America, the world’s largest telecommunications labor union.
For most of that time, I co-led two joint venture companies, both
of which operate on a formalized partnership model. Today, these
companies include, as stakeholders and partners: AT&T, Avaya
Communication, Communications Workers of America, International
Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, and Lucent Technologies. Partner
to the companies I co-led is the CWA Staff Union, representing our
employees. This experience resulted in my becoming one of a mere
handful of experts worldwide in building and sustaining partnerships
between labor and management.
As part of my belief in
giving back, I have done volunteer work in my community, have participated
as a volunteer in the political process, and have donated my time
to teach, from primary school to college. I am currently on the
Board of Two Rivers Community School of Boone, NC (USA).
Now, I am partnering with like-minded practitioners in the consulting
world to help organizations achieve lasting change with the full
participation of their people, from the boardroom to the workroom.
In keeping with my commitment
to lifelong learning, I am a member of the Mid-Atlantic Facilitator’s
Network and participated in their year-long professional development
series in Washington, D.C. In 2004. I also hold membership in the
International Association of Facilitators™ and am a Certified
Professional Facililtator.
My role is to serve as
Denise's business Partner in Dynamic Destiny Partnerships, and to
serve as an informal advisor to Women's Community, LLC.
